Dinah’s project was unusual as the property she’d purchased had recently undergone an extensive contemporary refurbishment. The remit was to strip-out the existing interior and return it to it’s former period glory, using many items from Lassco Reclamation. All the works were carried out in stages to allow her to occupy the building as the work progressed.
Experience has shown that most period London properties hide a wealth of surprises beneath their fabulous façades and this was certainly no exception.
We constructed a bespoke kitchen with handmade period doors, finished off with marble & oak work surfaces. These surfaces were raised to accommodate the clients wish for height due to a back condition. Reclaimed marble fireplaces were restored and fitted. Finally, new period cornices were fitted throughout the ground floor and bedrooms, along with reclaimed floorboards which were cleaned, treated, laid, sanded and finished in matt acrylic varnish.
